You say that we are evil
You say that we are frauds
You say that we are witches
And that we’ve broken laws
You claim that we are liars
And we put wool over your eyes
But the ones who really fooled you
Are the ones that we despise
Don’t tread on us
We’re not the enemy

Persecution is our destiny
You ask how we can sleep at night
Knowing what we do
But the knowledge that we have
Is just what would have helped you
We ask that you listen to us
And know what we say is true
But our words fall of deaf ears
All because you thought you knew
That money is all we care about
That snake oil is our game
That we just took advantage of you
And that we have no shame

The truth is you’ve been fooled
By the propaganda on TV
But the real loser in this situation
Is you, since you believe
You cover us with insults
and tell us we are wrong
but our consciences are clear
and our determination is strong
That we can change the world
Someday it will come
by then it’ll be too late for you
the damage will be done
